Balcones Cataleja Texas Single Malt Whiskey

After 15 years of distilling whisky in Texas, Balcones is ready to release this celebratory whiskey. The word Cataleja is a loose translation of the word spyglass and pays tribute to the elders who have viewed things through their own lens. The Single Malt is made with 100% Golden Promise Malted Barley that was first aged in used Kentucky bourbon barrels. After around 3 years of maturation, the original flavors still stand strong while the Texas climate has added some brightness and complexity.
