Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 18 Year Islay Single Malt Whisky

Scotch whisky fans can often be separated into two groups. Those that love peat and those that do not. For those who find the smoky notes invigorating, this single malt is a dream come true. The whisky was aged 18 years in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and second-fill sherry casks. A small bit of Port Charlotte was also filled into sherry casks for 11 years, before being re-casked into Virgin French Oak for around five years. It was then re-casked yet again into second-fill bourbon barrels before all the components were blended. Limited to just 8,000 bottles at 51.5% ABV with a phenol level of 40 parts per million (PPM), it's a perfect sipper for the peat lover in your life.
