While most bourbon is selected by those with discerning palates, it's rarely curated by true heroes. Horse Soldier Commander's Select relies on U.S. Army Green Berets to choose each release. This special unit answered the call of their country during the days after 9/11 on horseback in northern Afghanistan and was later depicted in the movie 12 Strong. The sixth release started in Kentucky, where it matured for 12 years before being bottled at a barrel-strength 60% ABV. Packed with nutty, caramelized toffee flavors, the high-rye bourbon is the ultimate end-of-the-night sampler.
